Read full description of the books:

I don't usually read plays, but I decided to read this because I was going to watch it in Noel Coward Theatre in London with Daniel Radcliffe. I thought it would be interesting to read the play before actually watching it and in the end, I am glad I read it because I really enjoyed it!

Reviewing a theatre script is very difficult to do since you cannot really get a full impression of it, unless you do actually watch it in the theatre being dramatized. So, I am going to rely my review both on the version of the play that I watched in London and the actual text.

The story is quite dark, imbued with Irish culture and English humour. It can be very fun at moments but also very sad at others.

Despite the fact that I rarely read play scripts, I go to the theatre quite often and therefore I can say that this is actually one of the most interesting plays I've ever seen. This is probably because it is so different from what I am used to.

The version which I saw in London was dramatized in an excellent way. Daniel Radcliffe in the title role was absolutely breathtaking. He is one of my favorite actors, so I am a bit biased, but I really believe that he did an amazing work at the part. His energy and the love that he has for acting really translates in this play.

The rest of the cast was amazing, as well. Conor MacNeill and Sarah Greene were my two favourites after Daniel. But all the cast and the production in general was absolutely amazing. I am very happy to be one of the few people who saw that play in London.

However, I am also very happy that I had the chance to read the actual text of the play too. If you ever get the chance, read it! I wam definitely looking forward to read more English plays in the future.

Here are some photos from Daniel's performance in London:

And here is my theatre-program of the play signed by Daniel! :) (The picture is taken in my hotel room in London the night I met him & he signed it for me, so I am going to use it although it is blurry).

PS. In case you want to know more about how I met him and see a few photos and even a video check here, here, here, here and here.
